It depicts the journey between Suraj a confectioner who studied till Class 9 and Sandhya, a brilliant student who aspires to become an IPS officer. Even Suraj’s family was against the idea of a working woman after marriage. How Suraj helps Sandhya being her support system to achieve her dream is the main storyline. Although the show went off the air in October 2016, it is still one of the most viewed TV shows of Hotstar even today.

A sequel of the popular show Diya Aur Baati Hum, this show depicts the story of Uma Shankar and Kanak, the daughter of Suraj and Sandhya, who have opposite personalities. The main challenge to Kanak is to change Uma’s perception of religion and make him lead a normal and rational life.
